Matheus started his career as an intern in the Infrastructure & Project Finance team at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados in São Paulo. Following an exchange programme at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, he worked as an Infrastructure Debt Analyst intern at Crédit Agricole and as a Debt Capital Markets Analyst intern at Société Générale, in Paris.
Matheus later moved to the United Kingdom where he worked at Bank of America’s Emerging Markets Debt Financing desk for over two years, originating high yield and investment grade transactions across sectors in Africa, the Middle East and Central & Eastern Europe.
Matheus is fluent in English, Portuguese and French. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of São Paulo and a Masters in Management from London Business School.
